Mr Brights Surf Shop, Big Millys, Accra
Mr Brights surf shop/surf school is proud to announce it is opening a second surf shop based at the famous Big Millys Backyard, Kokrobite, Accra.
We are currently constructing the shop which we hope to be finished within the next two months, however we are offering surfing lessons and surfboard hire at the present time.
Big Millys has a great reputation of excellence and is popular with all visitors. If you have something to celebrate this is the perfect setting for your party. From Monday to Friday Big Millys is incredibly laid back and peaceful but on Friday and Saturday nights the garden comes alive. Every Friday they have a Bonfire and Barbecue on the beach with a live Cultural group of excellent drummers and dancers. The atmosphere is brilliant. On Saturday nights everyone dances beneath the coconut trees to a reggae and highlife band.
We believe that with our 2 locations we can offer a surfing experience in Ghana not to be forgotten. For those of you travelling to Ghana to surf, Big Millys is just 1 hour from the airport. The waves at kokrobite can be fun and user friendly for all abilities depending on the size. There are a few other spots within the area, a popular spot for the ex pats surfing community is the right hand point break of Fete.
Heading to the Western Region is a 4-5 hour bus ride or you can fly with Antrak air which only takes 1 hour. Our other shop is based at the famous beach of Busua which is becoming known as the surfing capital of Ghana. At Busua we are based at the Kangaroo Pouch Beach Resort, which is right in front of the beach break.
We plan to offer the best surf camps and tours in Ghana. Giving you the option to surf the best spots and stay at the best accommodation available. Full packages are not available as yet but we are more than happy to help you with all your surfing needs.
