Asabaako Music Festival 2014, Busua Beach, Ghana


Asa Baako is back for 2014 – three days of live music, parties, performances, dance, cinema, surfing and downright CHILLING on Busua Beach.

Join us for three days of local and international live music, dance and performance art, on the beach by day and in the jungle by night. Featuring the cream of new and established artists from the Western region, Accra and beyond, where highlife, azonto, hiplife, hip hop and reggae mingle with funky brass bands, master drummers and boundary crossing DJs.

Main beach festival is free. Jungle party tickets are available to buy at the event for GH15 per night, GH20 weekend/on the door, GH5 local.


Mr Brights surf shop/school is proud to introduce Bjorn Maab to our team.  Born in Germany, and having studied sports science at university Bjorn decided to head to Ghana where he now teaches at one of the German schools in the main city or Accra  Bjorn has been surfing for many years and has taught surfing in Portugal and Indonesia. During the school holidays Bjorn has decided to travel to Busua to make the most of his time off from teaching at the school and hit the water to teach the fine art of surfing.  So pop into Mr Brights surf shop/school and say hello to Bjorn, he’s more than happy to help you in anyway he can, and even share a few surf story’s over a nice cold beer or two.

Owned by a friendly Ghanaian couple Theadora and Sam.  Previously Theadora and Sam had lived in Australia for many years and decided to head back to their home country to set up their dream hotel at Busua Beach.
